Clarecastle NS marks the centenary of the Easter rising

Ceremony Clare Hill Cemetery today

This Sunday 13th March at 2 p.m.there will be a ceremony of blessing at the grave of Fr David O’Brien CC in Clarehill Cemetery.  He died of cholera aged 28 in the cholera outbreak at that time.  He and one hundred and eighty people from the Clarecastle community died in that epidemic and they will all be remembered on Sunday.
