As part of their Youth Helps Youth Project, the young people of Clarecastle Ballyea’s Londubh Youth Choir & Celtic Ensemble are planning a concert in Clarecastle Church on Sunday, 3rd December to fundraise for the Limerick Grief Project. This weekend members of the choir visited a number of churches in the area to promote the concert and to set the seed for hope for young people suffering and to create public awareness of children who are experiencing a difficult time. They presented symbols of hope, love, courage, friendship and knowledge. The symbols were teamed with encouraging quotes put together by the youth, such as ‘A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself’, ‘Don’t lose hope, you’ll never know what tomorrow will bring’ and ‘Once you choose hope, anything is possible’. They also presented each church with a lavender plant – one which has great healing properties.
